Chill to melt

Snow falls.Your driveway stays clear.

agut-link is a heat-conductive coating applied right on top of your existing asphalt or concrete. It warms up before the storm and melts snow and ice as they land. No digging, no salt, no shovel.

The problem

Winter shouldn't be a second job.

Every option Canadians have today costs something: your time, your back, your driveway or the environment.

Shovelling and plowing

Early mornings, sore backs and a plow bill every time it snows. And the ice left behind is still a slip waiting to happen.

Salt and de-icers

Salt eats into concrete, rusts cars, burns paws and plants, and washes straight into our lakes and rivers.

In-ground heating

Traditional heated driveways mean tearing up your existing surface, laying cables and repaving. Weeks of work and a big bill.

How it works

A heated driveway, without the excavation.

Installed by our team in 1–2 days, on the surface you already have.

  1. 01

    We apply the coating

Our team applies the agut-link compound directly on top of your existing asphalt or concrete. Nothing is dug up or repaved.

  2. 02

    We connect the power

The coating is wired to a dedicated 240 V circuit and a smart controller with weather and ground sensors.

  3. 03

    Winter handles itself

When snow is on the way, the surface warms up like a heating element and melts it as it lands. You manage everything from the app.

Smart control

It thinks ahead, so you don't have to.

Forecasts, sensors and a smart controller decide when to heat and when to stop. You just watch it work.

Forecast pre-heat

agut-link reads the local forecast and starts warming the surface up to 3 hours before snow or freezing rain arrives, so nothing ever sticks.

Sensors that know when to stop

Surface temperature, moisture and precipitation sensors tell the system when the ground is dry and the storm is over. Then it switches itself off.

Energy you can see

Track live power use, daily and seasonal totals, and estimated cost. Set schedules and monthly limits so your bill holds no surprises.

Control from anywhere

Use the app on your phone or your home hub. Switch modes, check the status or take over manually in a tap.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do you have to dig up my driveway?

No. That is the whole point. The agut-link compound is applied on top of your existing asphalt or concrete. Nothing is excavated, removed or repaved.

Which surfaces does it work on?

Flat asphalt and concrete surfaces, such as driveways, walkways, patios and parking pads. We confirm your surface is a good fit before quoting.

How long does installation take?

Our team installs the system in 1–2 days, depending on the size of the area.

How much electricity does it use?

Up to 300 W/m² while heating. For a typical 40 m² (430 ft²) driveway, that is about $1.50 per hour of operation, or roughly $150–$300 per winter. Because sensors stop the system as soon as the ground is dry, it only runs when it's needed, and the app shows exactly what you use.

Is it safe for kids, pets and cars?

Yes. There's no salt and no chemicals, so nothing harmful for paws, plants or your car. The electrical connection runs on a dedicated, protected circuit set up during installation.

Does it work in extreme cold?

It's designed to operate down to −30 °C. Forecast pre-heat warms the surface before the storm, so snow and ice don't get a chance to bond.

How long does it last?

The system is designed for a 5-year service life.

Do I need the app?

The system runs automatically on its own. The app, on your phone or home hub, lets you check the status, change modes, set limits and track your energy use.

How much does it cost?

Every property is different, so we give each one an all-inclusive quote covering the system, installation and setup. The price depends on the surface area, the surface type and your electrical setup.
